Chris Hansen Promotes Streaming Service Before A24’s ‘Primetime’ Screenings

As audiences flock to theaters for A24’s upcoming film 'Primetime,' they will be met with a familiar face: Chris Hansen. The former 'To Catch a Predator' host has secured preshow advertisements in every theater screening the film, which stars Robert Pattinson as him.
In the advertisement, Hansen invites viewers to join his streaming service, TruBlu, dedicated to predator investigations. The commercial features Hansen stepping into a kitchen, reminiscent of his past confrontations, where he delivers a chilling variation of his signature catchphrase: “I’m going to need everyone in the theater to take a seat right over there.”
Scheduled to premiere on September 25, following its debut at the Venice International Film Festival on September 5, 'Primetime' explores Hansen's controversial methods of luring suspected predators. Although Hansen declined to view the film due to a legal waiver from A24, he is now reportedly consulting attorneys regarding his options post-release.
Originally, Hansen intended to remind audiences that the film is a dramatization of real events, but this line was omitted due to concerns over potential backlash from the studio.
