Ellen Pompeo to Star in Hulu's 'Not a Sound' as ER Nurse Entangled in Mystery

Ellen Pompeo is set to take on a new role in Hulu's upcoming drama series, 'Not a Sound,' stepping away from her iconic portrayal of Dr. Meredith Grey. The series, helmed by David E. Kelley, draws inspiration from Heather Gudenkauf's novel and centers on Amelia Winn, an ER nurse who becomes deaf after a tragic hit-and-run.
As she and her devoted service dog stumble upon a colleague's murder, Amelia finds herself embroiled in a perilous mystery tied to the accident that altered her life. The project features a talented team, including writers Matthew Tinker and Annakate Chappell, and director Azazel Jacobs.
Pompeo is also an executive producer alongside Laura Holstein, continuing her fruitful partnership with 20th Television.
