Arturo Béjar, a former child safety expert at Meta, revealed shocking insights during a trial about Instagram's threats to young users.
He recounted how his daughter, aged 14, began receiving inappropriate messages shortly after creating her account. "I found it shocking," Béjar stated.
The trial in California involves a coalition of state attorneys general accusing Meta of intentionally designing Facebook and Instagram to foster compulsive use among minors while illegally collecting data from users under 13.
