Grok Chatbot Suffers from Glitch, Users Receive Nonsensical Responses

A peculiar malfunction has plagued xAI’s Grok chatbot, leaving users baffled by its nonsensical replies. One user, attempting to generate a PDF, was met with an incomprehensible response filled with random phrases.

As reports of the glitch surfaced, users on Grok Lite began experiencing these issues early Wednesday. Although TechCrunch couldn't replicate the problem during testing, it seems to be affecting a limited number of users. Complaints have flooded the chatbot’s Reddit community, with many expressing frustration over continued gibberish even after refreshing their sessions.

The Grok account on X.com acknowledged the issue, describing it as a rare “temporary generation glitch.” They advised users to start fresh chats or regenerate responses, assuring that all Grok services remain operational. This glitch comes amidst significant staffing changes at xAI, which has seen a considerable exodus of its founding team and numerous researchers.
