Kirkland Signature Bourbon Prices Remain Steady Amidst Rising Consumer Costs

By Editor • August 26, 2026 • 1 min read

As inflation continues to impact the cost of everyday goods, one item appears to buck the trend: Kirkland Signature bourbon. Released in 2021, Costco's bourbon line has maintained remarkably stable pricing, even as other products soar in cost.

Costco introduced three expressions of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey—Small Batch, Bottled-in-Bond, and Single Barrel—sourced from Barton 1792 Distillery. Initially priced at $19, $25, and just under $30 respectively, these bourbons received positive reviews for their quality and value.

Fast forward to 2026, and the prices remain competitive, with the Small Batch averaging $21, the Bottled-in-Bond around $26, and the Single Barrel under $33. This consistency can be attributed to Costco's cost-cutting business model and strong partnerships, particularly with Barton 1792, which has proven beneficial for both parties.

In a broader context, while consumer goods have seen a nearly 40% increase over the past decade, alcohol prices have only risen by about 25%. Factors like reduced domestic consumption and tariffs impacting overseas demand have contributed to an oversupply in the bourbon market, keeping prices in check even as other sectors struggle.
