In a recent operation, Latvia’s border guards uncovered an underground tunnel used for illegal crossings from Belarus. The tunnel, located just 20 meters from the border and concealed by moss, was being used by 28 individuals who were subsequently detained and returned to Belarus.
This marks the second such discovery by the border guard; a similar tunnel was found on August 10, where 15 people attempted to cross.
