A 34-year-old man, Pawel Kulpa, has been charged with murder and multiple counts of attempted murder following a devastating house fire in west London that claimed a woman's life and injured eight others.
The incident occurred in Hounslow on August 19, shortly after 1 a.m., prompting a swift response from the London Fire Brigade and ambulance services. Tragically, a 48-year-old woman died in the hospital, while a 40-year-old remains critically injured. The other victims, including six men and one woman, have since been treated for minor injuries and released.
Kulpa faces one count of murder, eight counts of attempted murder, and arson with intent to endanger life. He is scheduled to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on August 25. The Crown Prosecution Service confirmed that they have gathered sufficient evidence to proceed with the case, emphasizing the importance of a fair trial and the need to avoid any prejudicial reporting.
