Mattel Celebrates Xbox's 25th Anniversary with a Stunning 1:1 Scale Building Set

Marking the 25th anniversary of the original Xbox, Mattel has unveiled an impressive tribute: a 1:1 scale building set that captures the essence of Microsoft's first gaming console. This collector's item, available through the Mattel Brick Shop, comprises 3,509 pieces, recreating the iconic 2001 console along with its oversized Duke controller.
The model closely mirrors the classic Xbox design, featuring its signature black body, X-shaped top, and the central green logo. While it’s a display piece rather than a functional console, the set allows for interaction through its buildable controller, complete with working buttons and analog sticks.
Inside the console, builders will discover three removable dioramas inspired by beloved games like Halo: Combat Evolved, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Psychonauts, accompanied by 12 small figures. These dioramas can be displayed independently, enhancing the model's modular appeal.
Adding an interactive element, pressing buttons on the Duke controller activates light and sound sequences, including the original Xbox startup and game-related effects. This model is designed for builders aged 17 and up and is available for preorder at a price of $324.
