Murder Inquiry Launched After Fatal Hounslow House Fire

A tragic house fire in Hounslow has led to a murder investigation following the death of a 48-year-old woman and injuries to eight others. Emergency services responded to the blaze on Berkley Avenue shortly after 1am on Wednesday.
The deceased was hospitalized but succumbed to her injuries. A 40-year-old woman remains in critical condition, while six men and one woman have since been treated and released for minor injuries.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil John, leading the investigation, expressed condolences to the victim's family and emphasized that inquiries are underway to determine the fire's origin, which is suspected to be deliberate. Police have reassured the community that this incident appears isolated, and officers will maintain a presence in the area. They are appealing for any information, particularly CCTV or dashcam footage, to aid their investigation.
