Murder Investigation Launched After Newborn Found Dead in Sheffield

Authorities in Sheffield are investigating the tragic death of a newborn girl discovered at a residence in the Wincobank area early Sunday morning.
South Yorkshire Police received an urgent call at 5:58 AM regarding concerns for the infant's safety. Upon arrival at Holywell Heights, officers found the baby unresponsive, and despite efforts from paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Seven individuals have been taken into custody on suspicion of murder. Detective Chief Inspector Emma Knight reassured the community of ongoing efforts to secure justice for the deceased infant, urging the public to refrain from speculation as the investigation unfolds.
