Myanmar Military Expands Offensive for Russian Port Project

This aggressive push marks a significant indication of the military-backed government’s readiness to utilize force for reviving the economic zone, seen as a key alternative to the Strait of Malacca. During recent diplomatic engagements, including discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin, junta leader Min Aung Hlaing promoted Dawei as a strategic gateway to South and West Asia.
