In a provocative move, North Korea reportedly fired a ballistic missile on Thursday, mere hours after President Donald Trump announced plans to meet with Kim Jong Un later this year.
The South Korean military confirmed the launch directed toward the Sea of Japan, which is referred to as the East Sea in South Korea. Japan's Defense Ministry noted that the missile landed outside its exclusive economic zone.
