Nottingham Forest Sets Record with £50m Signing of Delap from Chelsea

Nottingham Forest is making headlines with a record-breaking acquisition, securing Chelsea striker Liam Delap for approximately £50 million. The 23-year-old is set to undergo a medical this week before finalizing a long-term contract at the City Ground.

Delap's transfer follows a challenging season at Chelsea, where he managed only one Premier League goal, hampered by injuries. He joined Chelsea from Ipswich Town last summer for £30 million amid interest from Manchester United and Everton.

This new addition comes as Forest bolsters their squad, having already signed defender Ousmane Diomande for £34 million, alongside free agents Xaver Schlager and Steve Benda.
