In a poignant gesture of respect, Anne Lindboe, the Mayor of Oslo, has decided to postpone her wedding ceremony due to the death of King Harald V of Norway. The ceremony was scheduled for Friday, the same day the king passed away at 89, after battling a rare blood condition.

Lindboe, who has been engaged to Pål Sandvid for five years, expressed her sorrow on Instagram, stating, "It's hard to imagine an Oslo and a Norway without you." She acknowledged the profound connection many Norwegians felt toward the late monarch, even those who never met him.

King Harald's reign lasted 35 years, during which he modernized the monarchy and became a symbol of unity during challenging times. Following his death, public gatherings to pay tribute have emerged outside the Royal Palace. Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre articulated the nation's collective grief, highlighting the enduring legacy of the beloved king.
