Peet's Coffee Unveils Fall Menu: Hits and Misses from Pumpkin to Pretzel

As summer’s heat lingers into August, Peet's Coffee is already embracing the fall season with its newly launched menu. While the leaves may not have started to change, the flavor profiles are shifting towards pumpkin, spice, and everything nice.

This year, Peet's is bringing back its fan-favorite Pumpkin Latte alongside nine new offerings designed to delight autumn enthusiasts. Eager to explore these seasonal treats, I made my way to my local Peet's to see which items deserved a spot in my fall rotation.

Among the highlights is the Mini Bacon Biscuit Bite, a delightful combination of flaky biscuit, crispy bacon, and a creamy apple-cheddar-Neufchâtel spread. At just $3.95, this savory snack struck all the right notes, providing a satisfying balance of saltiness and sweetness that pairs perfectly with a warm coffee drink.

However, not all offerings hit the mark. The Home Harvest Pretzwich, touted as a breakfast staple, fell flat. Despite its promising ingredients—a cranberry chicken sausage patty, caramelized onions, and a pretzel bun—the execution was disappointing. The bun was soggy, and the sausage lacked flavor, overshadowing the otherwise enjoyable Neufchâtel spread. At $6.95, this dish was not worth ordering again.

On the sweeter side, Peet’s Iced Pumpkin Bread is a must-try for anyone looking to indulge. Moist and bursting with autumn spices, this treat is topped with a luscious cream cheese icing, making it a perfect companion to coffee for only $4.25.

The Pumpkin Latte remains a staple for a reason. Made with Peet's Espresso Forté and a blend of pumpkin pie flavors, this cozy drink is available hot or iced. While the iced version can dilute the flavors as the ice melts, it's still a comforting choice for warm days at $6.

For those seeking an extra kick, the Iced Pumpkin Chai Latte offers a delightful twist. Infused with ginger, cinnamon, and clove, this drink allows the coffee to shine while providing a gentle spice finish. Priced at $7.95, it’s a bit more expensive, but the added vanilla dream top enhances the experience, making it a worthy upgrade.

With this diverse menu, Peet's Coffee is setting the stage for a flavorful fall. Whether you’re drawn to the classics or eager to experiment with new flavors, there’s something to satisfy every palate. Just remember to steer clear of the Pretzwich!
