As weight-loss medications rise in popularity, many fashion brands are reducing their plus-size offerings, much to the dismay of consumers.
In March 2023, model and activist Tess Holliday partnered with H&M as a size and inclusivity consultant, leading to a promised expansion of sizes from XL to 4XL.
This initiative stood in stark contrast to the industry's current trend favoring slimmer silhouettes.
