Spider-Man: Brand New Day Soars Again at Box Office

In its third weekend, Spider-Man: Brand New Day continues to dominate the box office, raking in an impressive $19 million on Friday alone. By the end of the weekend, the superhero film is projected to reach a staggering $67 million, marking its third consecutive week at the top. With Tom Holland and Zendaya leading the cast, the movie is on track for a remarkable North American total of $782.8 million within just 17 days, placing it fifth on the all-time domestic list.

In a bid to challenge Spider-Man's reign, Warner Bros. released The End of Oak Street, which earned $8.1 million on Friday, including previews. This dinosaur-themed flick, starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, is expected to land around $20 million for its opening weekend. Critics have given it a decent 85 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, although audiences rated it a B CinemaScore.

Meanwhile, PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie is also in the mix, grossing $7.3 million on Friday and aiming for a similar $20 million debut. With an A CinemaScore from audiences, it features a star-studded voice cast, including Jennifer Hudson and Snoop Dogg. It has already collected $38.3 million internationally, indicating strong appeal across various markets.
