The beloved cast of the classic film “The Sandlot” reunites in the new YouTube series “Dugout Dads,” which premiered on Wednesday. This nine-episode comedy, created by Patrick Renna and Kyle Howard’s Hambino Media, tells the story of a father, played by Renna, who takes on the challenge of coaching his children's Little League team.
As the narrative unfolds, he discovers that the adult participants, including fellow coaches and parents, may be just as unruly as the kids themselves. The show features returning faces from the original film, including Tom Guiry and Chauncey Leopardi, alongside Danielle Fishel as Renna’s on-screen wife.
In an exciting development, NBA star Chris Paul and his brother CJ have signed on as executive producers through their company, Oh Dip!!! Entertainment. Paul expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, “I loved everything that I saw. We want to get involved and try to take this thing to the next level.” All episodes are currently available for streaming on YouTube.
