The Unifrance Rendez-Vous TV content market in Le Havre is set to begin on September 7, presenting an impressive lineup of over 350 television programs with international appeal. This year's event, now in its 32nd edition, will feature 50 exclusive screenings of popular scripted series, animated shows, and thought-provoking documentaries.
Despite a streamlined agenda, the four-day market promises engaging panel discussions and social events, including a presentation of France's television export statistics for 2025 by Unifrance and the National Film Board (CNC). Last year, the Rendez-Vous attracted around 150 buyers from 40 countries, alongside more than 50 local distribution companies.
Among the highlights is “Beasts of the Colosseum,” directed by Nicolas Brénéol, which delves into the spectacles of ancient Rome, featuring stunning visuals of wild beasts caught and transported to the Colosseum. Another notable offering is “Swapped,” a series set in 1889 Paris, which tells the poignant tale of a young mother who secretly exchanges her baby with a grieving mother.
For fans of classic literature, “The Red and the Black” brings Stendhal’s novel to life in a four-part adaptation that follows the ambitious Julien Sorel, whose quest for social ascent leads to tragic outcomes. Additionally, “Country Spy” introduces a retired French intelligence agent returning to her roots, while “Super-Lucha,” aimed at children, celebrates the adventures of young Ennio, a masked vigilante.
Moreover, “The Nefertiti Case” centers on a museum director’s frantic efforts to salvage a broken artifact, while “The Deal” unfolds against the backdrop of high-stakes nuclear negotiations. Finally, Tamara Erde’s documentary “Gaza, a People’s History” offers a critical exploration of the region's complex history.
