Waffle House's Surprising Star: Eggs Take the Top Spot

By Editor • August 20, 2026 • 1 min read

While Waffle House is famous for its waffles and hash browns, it's not these breakfast staples that reign supreme on the menu. Surprisingly, the humble egg claims the title of the restaurant's best-selling item.

Annually, Waffle House dishes out an astonishing 272 million eggs, far surpassing the 85 million slices of bacon and 153 million hash brown orders. Since its inception in 1955, the chain has served over five billion eggs, a staggering total that underscores its significance in American breakfast culture.

The primary supplier for these eggs is Rose Acre Farms, a prominent poultry producer based in Seymour, Indiana. Though it began as a family-owned farm, it has grown into the second-largest egg supplier in the U.S., providing Waffle House with over half of its egg supply from its various facilities across the nation.
