Google Allows Users to Remove Visible Watermarks from AI Content

By Editor • August 14, 2026 • 1 min read

In a recent update, Google has introduced an option to disable visible watermarks on AI-generated images, videos, and music through its Gemini platform.

This new feature allows users to toggle off the “Media watermark” setting, eliminating the noticeable “sparkle” watermark from the bottom-right corner of content created with the Nano Banana and Omni models.

However, despite the removal of visible markers, Google will continue to embed invisible SynthID and C2PA watermarks, ensuring that the authenticity of AI-generated content can still be verified.
