In response to Hegseth’s actions, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney remarked that serious discussions would only resume once the U.S. administration refrains from mockery. Gen. Jennie Carignan, Canada’s chief of defense staff, reassured that both cadets were receiving support from the military, highlighting their competence and contributions.
