In a proactive move against escalating cyber threats, Japan's Foreign Ministry announced the establishment of a Cyber Security Policy Division on Tuesday.

This new unit, part of the Foreign Policy Bureau, aims to enhance collaboration with allies and contribute to the global framework for cybersecurity.

The division, reinstated after being merged in 2016, will involve 10 to 20 members from the National Security Policy Division, focusing on advancing Japan’s cyber diplomacy and aiding developing nations.
