Khosla Ventures Expands to New York with New Office Opening This Fall

By Editor • September 11, 2026 • 1 min read

Khosla Ventures is set to broaden its horizons with the launch of its first office outside its traditional hub on Sand Hill Road. During a recent TechCrunch event in New York's West Village, Keith Rabois, a prominent venture capitalist at Khosla, announced that the new office will be established on 14th Street and is expected to open its doors this fall.

This expansion marks a significant departure for Khosla Ventures, which has historically operated exclusively from Menlo Park, California. Rabois emphasized the importance of the move, stating, "We don’t even have an SF office, so this is a very big step for us." The New York office will accommodate several Khosla investors and feature a unique “executive briefing center” designed to facilitate interactions between portfolio companies and Fortune 500 firms.

Rabois highlighted the benefits of this setup, noting that the office would host 10 to 12 portfolio companies four days a week, providing them with opportunities to secure pilot programs and clients. The announcement follows Rabois's own move to the East Coast, where he relocated to be closer to his family in Washington, D.C. He expressed confidence in New York's talent pool, particularly at the entry level, although he acknowledged challenges in attracting senior technical talent and executives due to geographical constraints.
