Kogonada's 'Zi' to Premiere at Busan with Atnine Film as Distributor

Kogonada's latest film, 'Zi,' is set to make its Asian debut at the Busan International Film Festival, where it will be featured in the Icons section. The film, distributed in Korea by Atnine Film, showcases a captivating narrative about three souls navigating a transformative night in Hong Kong.

Starring Michelle Mao, Haley Lu Richardson, and Jin Ha, 'Zi' tells the story of a young woman who encounters her future self and a stranger, altering her evening's trajectory. Atnine Film's Isabelle Hyejin Park expressed excitement about bringing Kogonada's work to Korean audiences, following the success of his previous film, 'Columbus.'

She noted that 'Zi' retains the emotional depth of 'Columbus' while exploring new cinematic themes. International sales rights were acquired by Parallax Films, and the film has already garnered attention at festivals, including Sundance and MoMI's First Look Film Festival.
