Moncler Unveils Its Grandest Flagship Store on Fifth Avenue

By Editor • September 10, 2026 • 1 min read

Moncler has officially launched its largest flagship store in the world, nestled in the heart of Fifth Avenue, New York City. Spanning nearly 24,000 square feet, this expansive retail space is designed to celebrate the brand's rich heritage and innovative spirit, inviting shoppers to explore its latest collections and exclusive collaborations.

A Love Letter to New York

Remo Ruffini, Moncler’s executive chairman, emphasizes that this flagship is not only about size but also about creating a unique connection with the community. 'When this iconic location on Fifth Avenue became available, we saw the opportunity to create something unique,' he stated. The store takes residence at the base of the GM Building, a modernist architectural gem, previously home to the beloved toy store FAO Schwarz.

Unique Design Elements

The design of the flagship was crafted by Patrick Gilles of the esteemed Parisian firm Gilles & Boissier, who has worked closely with Ruffini for over twenty years. The store features an impressive entry sequence reminiscent of stepping into a theater, leading visitors into a vibrant retail environment that seamlessly blends the thrill of outdoor adventures with the urban energy of New York. Inside, shoppers can discover Moncler's diverse offerings, including apparel for men, women, and children, alongside high-performance gear for mountain activities.

An Immersive Shopping Experience

Upstairs, the Moncler Grenoble collection is showcased, focusing on high-performance winter sports gear. This level is designed to create a quieter yet equally dynamic atmosphere, with illuminated panels and carefully curated displays that highlight the beauty of ski equipment. Visitors can also explore exclusive collaborations, such as the LoveFrom collection with designer Jony Ive, and even customize jackets through Moncler's bespoke atelier service.
