Ongoing Investigation into Woman's Mysterious Death in Liverpool Park

The search for answers continues after a woman's body was discovered in a black bin bag in Liverpool's Stanley Park two weeks ago. Merseyside Police are actively investigating the case, but have yet to identify the deceased.

Authorities revealed that the body, found in the walled garden area, had likely been there for several weeks before its discovery on August 28. Despite receiving 73 names from the public, forensic tests and appeals for information have not yielded any substantial leads. Police have been unable to match the woman's dental records or find a match on the national DNA database.

In a bid to gather more information, investigators are reaching out to anyone who may have flown drones over the park in recent months, encouraging them to review their footage. Additionally, they have collected CCTV footage from 30 cameras in the vicinity and have spoken to residents of 625 properties surrounding the park. The woman is described as white, around 70 years old, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, with strawberry blonde hair. Detective Chief Inspector John Fitzgerald emphasized the commitment to solving the case, stating, 'Our investigation remains ongoing and we remain determined to identify the woman and find the person or persons responsible for her murder.'
