Sana Skin Studio Unveils New Tranquil Oasis in Wynwood

By Editor • September 9, 2026 • 2 min read

Sana Skin Studio, a haven for skincare enthusiasts, has debuted its new flagship location in Wynwood, Miami, showcasing a design that promotes calmness amidst the area's vibrant energy. Founded by Valentina Hernandez Botero and George Dufournier, the studio aims to create a soothing environment that enhances the pampering experience.

Architect Michael Dolatowski, who has been instrumental in the studio's evolution since its inception in 2020, describes the new design as a prototype for future locations. With nearly 15-foot ceilings and an airy flow, the studio's architectural elements prioritize serenity, a stark contrast to the typical clinical aesthetics often found in similar establishments.

A Sculptural Approach to Interior Design

Dolatowski's design strategy involved emphasizing sculptural forms and minimizing distractions. Curves dominate the space, evident in arched doorways and a striking circular light feature that cleverly conceals existing columns. The hallway's vaulted ceiling enhances the studio's cathedral-like ambiance, inviting clients to immerse themselves in a tranquil experience.

Thoughtful Materials and Color Palette

The studio features a soothing beige palette, achieved through two layers of creamy paint, allowing the architecture to shine. Textural elements such as hand-formed terracotta bricks and fluted travertine add depth, while durable Cosentino Dekton counters ensure practicality in high-traffic areas. A unique aspect of the design is the inclusion of paper lanterns and mini Zen gardens, drawing inspiration from Japanese aesthetics to foster a meditative atmosphere.

While the overall color scheme remains neutral, the bathroom stands out with a deep terracotta red, paying homage to the original Wynwood location. This vibrant touch contrasts beautifully with the calming interiors, reinforcing the studio's commitment to creating a sanctuary from the bustling arts district.

A Space for Transformation

Beyond aesthetics, Sana Skin Studio emphasizes its role as a transformative space, encouraging clients to view their visits as rituals rather than quick fixes. With the tagline of “skin healers” for their aestheticians, the studio embodies the idea of gradual transformation and self-care. Dolatowski reflects on the design's intention, stating, “It’s meant to be a place you come back to,” encapsulating the studio's philosophy of nurturing long-term skin health.
