Slack has introduced an innovative feature called Slackforce Surfaces, enabling users to create dynamic reports and presentations directly within their chats. This new functionality harnesses AI to streamline the process of gathering data from various sources.
With Slackforce Surfaces, users can simply instruct Slackbot to generate specific tools such as dashboards, polls, and microsites. The bot then taps into relevant conversations and integrates information from connected applications, including Google Drive and Salesforce, to produce the requested materials.
Once created, these interactive surfaces can be shared with team members and pinned to channels, fostering collaboration through viewing, interaction, and commenting. In a demonstration, Slack illustrated the feature by showcasing a user requesting an arcade-themed visualization of AI token usage, highlighting the creative possibilities now available.
