Teenager Sentenced to Life for Fatal Stabbing of Grandfather

A London court has sentenced 19-year-old Rasheed Rahman to life imprisonment for the brutal murder of 55-year-old Mark Carroll, a beloved grandfather, during a random attack in a park. During the unprovoked attack, Rahman used a five-inch kitchen knife to stab Carroll in the back as he walked with a friend in St Martin’s Gardens, Camden. After fleeing the scene, Rahman brandished the weapon at two other individuals before being apprehended by police after an hour-long manhunt. The court heard that Rahman had a violent history, including a previous stabbing incident and erratic behavior in public.
