Asa Germann, known for his role in Prime Video’s spinoff series Gen V, is set to take flight as Angel in the upcoming X-Men movie directed by Jake Schreier. This film, slated for release on May 5, 2028, marks a significant milestone as it will be the first standalone X-Men movie since the characters joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to a report by the Hollywood Reporter, Germann initially auditioned for the role of Cyclops, a part that ultimately went to Kit Connor. However, the studio recognized Germann's talent and offered him the role of Warren Worthington III, also known as Angel. Angel, a character created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, first appeared in the original X-Men comic in 1963 and is distinctive for his feathered wings, which grant him the power of flight.

The film's impressive cast continues to grow, with Germann joining a lineup that includes Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Christopher Abbott as Professor X, and Adam Driver as Mr. Sinister. Other notable cast members include Samara Weaving as Emma Frost and Inde Navarrette as Rogue. With a talented team behind it, this X-Men installment is highly anticipated by fans and is set to expand the Marvel universe further.
