Todd Snyder Marks 15 Years of Fashion Innovation with Celebration Dinner

Fashion designer Todd Snyder celebrated a significant milestone this past Sunday, marking 15 years since he embarked on his journey to redefine American menswear. The event took place at the upscale Fasano Restaurant, where Snyder was joined by actor Ben Ahlers and guests from various facets of the fashion industry.

Since leaving his role as senior vice president of menswear at J.Crew, Snyder has transformed his small beginnings in a Manhattan office into a thriving brand that is now part of American Eagle Outfitters. In 2015, the company acquired Snyder's venture for $11 million, and since then, he has established a presence in 24 stores nationwide. Reflecting on his journey, Snyder mentioned, “I remember that tiny room we had when we started, but we’ve never lost that entrepreneurial spirit.”

A Toast to the Past and Future

During the dinner, Snyder expressed gratitude to those who contributed to his success over the years, acknowledging his family, press, and retailers. He particularly highlighted the support of his wife, Shira Suveyke Snyder, and reminisced about the joyful moments when his daughters would run onto the runway to cheer him on.

Ahlers, who introduced Snyder, shared his admiration for the designer, noting that he served as an inspiration during his own career development. The evening also served as a platform to unveil Snyder’s upcoming campaign, “Time & Craft,” in collaboration with Lagavulin Single Malt Scotch Whisky, which features an exclusive capsule collection set to launch in October.

While the dinner was not meant to showcase Snyder's spring 2027 collection, he did reveal insights into his latest line, titled “Lagon d’Azur” or “Blue Lagoon.” This new collection aims to evoke a relaxed, romantic summer aesthetic suitable for an American traveling abroad, featuring vibrant colors and comfortable silhouettes.

Snyder described the collection as “nonchalant,” including pieces such as three-button sack jackets, high-waisted trousers, and linen cargo shorts. He noted that it incorporates a bolder color palette than previous collections, showcasing shades like azure and papaya, alongside classic darker tones. “It’s much more color than I’ve done in the past,” he remarked.
