In a grim turn of events, South Australia has recorded two separate fatal accidents that resulted in the deaths of two men on Saturday, pushing the state’s road toll to 79.

The first incident occurred in Coromandel Valley around 4 PM when emergency services responded to a crash involving a motorbike. The details surrounding this accident remain under investigation.

Hours later, another tragic event unfolded in Hackham, where a pedestrian was struck by a car. The victim, a 60-year-old man from Hackham, succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver involved fled but later reported to the Christies Beach Police Station. This latest incident raises concerns as the current road toll stands at 79, contrasting with the previous years, which saw totals of 87 in 2025 and 89 in 2024.
