Yeah Yeah Yeahs Release New Live Album and Film Celebrating Their Legacy

Yeah Yeah Yeahs have just launched their latest project, Hidden in Pieces Live at the Royal Albert Hall, a digital live album that debuted today, accompanied by a 22-minute concert film. Directed by Barnaby Clay, the film is available for streaming on the Criterion Channel and will be showcased in select theaters worldwide this month.

Scheduled for a physical release on October 23 through Secretly Canadian, the album features 13 live tracks along with additional recordings from their U.S. performances. Lead vocalist Karen O shared that this project stemmed from a desire to reconnect with fans post-2025 election, stating, “In the past, YYYs haven’t often chosen when to be back at it… it, being the times.”

The band crafted the live arrangements during a session at Sonic Ranch, Texas. O expressed gratitude towards the late David Lynch, noting the performance starts with a tribute to his legacy. Clay aimed to capture the essence of the band's shows, creating a film that feels both delicate and dream-like.
