New Fast Track Immigration Program Promises 15-Minute Processing

Travelers can rejoice as a new immigration initiative aims to reduce wait times to just 15 minutes at select Indian airports. The Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Program (FTI-TTP) debuted at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport in June 2024 and was recently expanded to seven additional airports by Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

This innovative program allows Indian citizens and OCI Cardholders to use automated e-gates and biometric scans to expedite their passage through immigration. Currently free, the FTI-TTP is set to roll out across 21 major airports, making travel significantly smoother for international flyers.
