AHEAD Forum's X Account Disabled Amid Controversy

The American Hindus for Engagement and Dialogue (AHEAD) Forum, which is organizing an event featuring RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in New York, faced a temporary setback when its X account was blocked for several hours on August 27, 2026.

AHEAD claimed the suspension was due to attempts by "misguided opponents" to manipulate X's algorithm, resulting in their account being marked as unavailable. Following intervention from X, the account was restored, with the organization expressing gratitude for the swift action.

Prior to the suspension, AHEAD had been actively sharing updates about the upcoming Universal Oneness Celebrations, set for August 29 at the Infosys Theatre in Madison Square Garden. The event aims to foster inter-faith dialogue, but it has attracted criticism from various groups, including Hindus for Human Rights and the Indian American Muslim Council, who have called for its cancellation, alleging attacks on religious minorities in India.
