Penn Badgley Leads Dark Comedy Murder Mystery on Prime Video

Penn Badgley is set to star in a new murder mystery series titled Everyone in My Family Has Killed Someone, which has been ordered by Prime Video. The project, helmed by showrunner David Hemingson, is based on the novel by Benjamin Stevenson and promises a blend of humor and suspense.

The story revolves around Ern Cunningham, played by Badgley, who is a mystery-writing expert attending a family reunion in Vermont. The gathering takes a dark turn when a frozen body is found, and a snowstorm traps the family together, leading to escalating tensions and untold secrets. As the plot unfolds, it becomes evident that each family member has a history of murder, intentional or not.

Hemingson expressed excitement about the project, stating, “I can’t think of any actor better suited to bring Ern’s intensity and humor to life.” The series will also feature executive producers from Made Up Stories, including Bruna Papandrea and Steve Hutensky, alongside Badgley and Stevenson. Stevenson highlighted the collaborative effort, saying, “I am blown away by the vision and enthusiasm everyone has for bringing this book to the screen.”
