Claude Cowork Upgrades Memory for Seamless User Experience

Anthropic has announced an innovative enhancement to its AI, Claude, aimed at improving user interaction by merging the memory systems of its chat and Cowork functionalities. This integration means that Claude will retain knowledge across different contexts, streamlining the user experience.
Previously, users faced the frustration of having to repeat information when transitioning from brainstorming to implementation. For example, if someone was drafting a conference agenda, they would need to reintroduce details like headcount and speakers. Now, Claude can access this information without requiring users to start from scratch.
With this update, Claude will also continuously update its memory during conversations, allowing for a more fluid exchange even while chatting. Users can manage what Claude remembers, including the option to toggle the retention of sensitive information, although personal data such as ID numbers will never be stored.
This memory feature, automatically enabled for all plans across platforms, promises to make Claude feel like a cohesive assistant rather than two separate tools. To enjoy the improvements, mobile users need to ensure their app is updated.
