Escape to Nature: Four Unique Cabins Embrace Serenity in Poland

By Editor • August 19, 2026 • 1 min read

Nestled quietly beside Poland's Stołowe Mountains National Park, a collection of four wooden cabins known as Studzienno 27 offers a serene retreat into nature. Designed by architect Kuba Woźniczka of Kameleonlab, these cabins prioritize environmental harmony over ostentation.

From the outset, Agnieszka, the project’s initiator, insisted on preserving the untouched forest, leading to a design that respects the natural landscape. Woźniczka chose cross-laminated timber (CLT) for its structural advantages, a relatively novel choice in Poland when the project began in 2019.

Each cabin, featuring a distinct personality, is strategically angled for optimal light and privacy, with mono-pitched roofs providing a sleek silhouette. The cabins' facades, dressed in black wood with accents of yellow, burgundy, and green, reflect the seasonal colors of their surroundings.

Inside, the 85-square-meter spaces are designed to feel welcoming from the moment one enters, thanks to Madde Studio’s focus on second-hand furnishings and natural materials. With no Wi-Fi or distractions, Studzienno 27 is a rare sanctuary for those seeking genuine rest.
