Hulu's 'Not Suitable for Work' Axed After Single Season

By Editor • August 25, 2026 • 1 min read

Hulu has officially canceled the comedy series Not Suitable for Work, created by Mindy Kaling, after just one season. The show, which debuted in June and consisted of nine episodes, followed five ambitious 20-somethings navigating their careers and personal lives in Manhattan's upscale Murray Hill.

The series featured a talented cast, including Ella Hunt, Avantika Vandanapu, Will Angus, Jack Martin, Nicholas Duvernay, and Jay Ellis. Warner Bros. Television, the production company behind the show, is now exploring options to find a new platform for the series.

In prior interviews, cast members expressed excitement about the project. Jack Martin shared his eagerness to join the cast, while Duvernay noted its refreshing take on modern comedy, likening it to a contemporary version of Friends.

The news was first reported by Variety, marking the end of a series that many had hoped would resonate with audiences.
