The Chinese animated film Niu Lai, translating to "The Ox Comes," is turning heads in theaters, not for its artistic finesse but for its surprising box-office success. Despite being described as a subpar production with a simplistic plot about a calf's coming-of-age journey alongside a leopard and a bird, the film has grossed over $7 million since its release in early August, far exceeding its modest budget of just $500.
