In a thrilling conclusion to the Pan Pacific Championships in Irvine, California, Australian swimmer Lani Pallister achieved a remarkable feat by defeating American legend Katie Ledecky in the 800 meters freestyle. This victory marked Ledecky’s first loss in this event at a major international competition, finishing with a time of 8:06.1, while Ledecky trailed closely behind at 8:07.26.
