Pro-Ject Unveils New Turntables to Simplify Vinyl Entry

By Editor • August 20, 2026 • 1 min read

The world of entry-level turntables often sees manufacturers cramming multiple features into a single device, resulting in a lackluster vinyl experience. However, Pro-Ject has taken a refreshing approach with its latest models, the E1.2 BT and E1.2 Phono, which build upon the successful E1.2 platform.

Last year's E1.2 was celebrated for its minimalist design, boasting a fully manual belt-drive system without Bluetooth or a built-in preamp, focusing instead on high-quality sound. Now, the E1.2 BT introduces Bluetooth 5.4, allowing for near-lossless streaming through aptX HD and aptX Adaptive codecs, enhancing the listening experience for vinyl aficionados.

Meanwhile, the E1.2 Phono addresses a common barrier for newcomers: the absence of a built-in phono preamp. By including this essential feature, Pro-Ject eliminates the need for buyers to purchase additional equipment, simplifying the connection process for those new to vinyl.

Both models share identical hardware and maintain the premium quality of the original E1.2, including the Pro-Ject Pick it MM E cartridge. The E1.2 BT is priced at £399 / €399, while the Phono edition comes in at £319 / €359. The original E1.2 remains an option for those who already possess a phono stage.
