Search Launched After Israeli Man Stabbed in West Bank

An Israeli man in his 20s is recovering from moderate injuries following a stabbing incident in the village of al-Auja, located in the eastern occupied West Bank. The attack occurred at a commercial complex along the main road, prompting a swift response from Israeli forces.

In the aftermath, the Israeli army initiated extensive search operations throughout the Jordan Valley, establishing roadblocks in the vicinity as they hunt for the assailant, who fled the scene. The Israeli military reported that they are maintaining communication with local residents and security personnel.

This incident is part of a troubling trend of escalating violence in the region, with a marked increase in attacks attributed to state-backed Israeli settlers against Palestinians since the onset of the conflict in Gaza in October 2023.
