The Kizhi Pogost showcases two remarkable churches: the 22-domed Church of the Transfiguration, built in 1714, and the nine-domed Church of the Intercession, alongside an octagonal bell tower. Together, they represent a pinnacle of Russian timber architecture, celebrated for their intricate construction, including the use of no nails.
