UAE Suspends All Trade with Iran Amid Rising Tensions

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has officially ceased all trade and financial interactions with Iran, citing escalating regional tensions following a missile attack aimed at its maritime vessels. This decision marks a significant shift in relations, particularly after a period of relative calm since May.

UAE officials have accused Iran of targeting its tankers in recent weeks, prompting the Foreign Ministry to announce the suspension of all commercial exchanges until further notice. Afra Al Hameli, Communications Director at the Ministry, emphasized the seriousness of this measure in light of the recent escalations.

The UAE's ties with Iran are historically deep, characterized by cultural and economic connections that have existed for centuries.
