Zelensky Dismisses Ukraine's Involvement in Nord Stream Bombing

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky firmly denied any involvement by Ukraine in the 2022 Nord Stream pipeline explosions during a recent gathering with Nordic-Baltic leaders.

Addressing reporters, Zelensky emphasized discussions held with Germany, asserting, "They are well aware that Ukraine did not stand behind the execution or the conception of this operation." He expressed Ukraine's willingness to assist in the ongoing investigation, underscoring the importance of maintaining trust among European partners.

The Nord Stream blasts occurred on September 26, 2022, damaging three of the four pipelines. Recent developments include the detention of Serhiy Kuznetsov, a retired Ukrainian officer, at Germany’s request in August 2025, and the arrest of diving instructor Volodymyr Zhuravlev in Poland and later, Croatia, related to the bombing.
