Chihuahua's ARC Park: A Community Oasis Designed for Play and Interaction

By Editor • September 3, 2026 • 1 min read

Urbánika has unveiled ARC Park, a vibrant new community space in the heart of Chihuahua, Mexico, designed to foster social interaction and active living. Spanning 6,000 square meters, the park emphasizes Activity, Recreation, and Community, seamlessly integrating various play and sports areas while adapting to the unique climate of the Chihuahuan Desert.

The centerpiece of ARC Park is a children's play area, featuring innovative house-like concrete structures that serve diverse functions. Each of these volumes offers a distinct play experience—ranging from climbing to social interaction—connected by a central platform that promotes imaginative play and development.

In addition to its play facilities, the park includes outdoor sports courts for pickleball, basketball, and volleyball, along with a café and multipurpose event spaces. Color-coded pickleball courts not only enhance visibility but also instill a sense of ownership among local users. For winter gatherings, a fire pit adds warmth and community spirit.

To combat the harsh desert conditions, the landscape design incorporates over 120 trees, including eldarica pines and oaks, chosen for their resilience and low maintenance. As these trees mature, they will provide essential shade, enriching the park's environment and encouraging more frequent use by families and visitors.
