Paris is set to come alive with creativity and innovation as Paris Design Week returns from September 10th to 19th, 2026. This much-anticipated event coincides with Maison&Objet Pulse, showcasing a vibrant array of exhibitions, installations, and events spread across four distinct districts of the city. Designers and brands will unveil their latest works in various venues, from historic buildings to public spaces.
With a plethora of events to explore, designboom has crafted a guide to help attendees navigate the week. Among the highlights is designboom’s own paris.designboom at 72 rue des Archives, where podcast sessions, workshops, and casual networking will take place, fostering connections within the design community.
Maison&Objet Pulse, running from September 10th to 14th, offers a fresh perspective on design under the theme "Pulse in Motion," emphasizing movement and collective energy. The event will feature immersive experiences, new products, and a focus on emerging talent and craftsmanship, with Valencia-based studio Masquespacio leading the charge as the ambassador for both the fair and Paris Design Week.
For those eager to discover new talent, Paris Design Week Factory will take place across four venues in the Marais, curated by Jean-Baptiste Durand and Simon Geringer. This initiative aims to blend design, art, and craftsmanship, featuring approximately 40 proposals in an exhibition designed to mimic a photographic studio environment. The Factory will also host the China Creative Pavilion, showcasing an international perspective on design and gastronomy.
Social gatherings will also be a key feature of the week. The paris.DESIGNBOOM apéro invites attendees to gather for an informal evening of conversation and drinks at designboom's temporary space, providing a chance to engage without a formal agenda.
Notable exhibitions during the week include Irish designer Joseph Walsh's "Arcanum Formae" at the historic Hôtel de Sully, where monumental outdoor sculptures will dialogue with the venue's rich history. Additionally, Hanjimania at the Hôtel de la Marine will bridge French and Korean design through the traditional craft of hanji paper, featuring prominent designers alongside master artisans.
Maison Lacmé will showcase "Astre Mobile," a unique interpretation of a car as a cabinet of curiosities, with ten French craftspeople transforming automotive elements into artistic pieces. Meanwhile, the Carpenters Workshop Gallery presents "Legenda," featuring new sculptures by Dutch artist Frederik Molenschot, inspired by the coastal landscapes of his home.
As Paris Design Week approaches, anticipation builds for what promises to be a stunning celebration of design and creativity, bringing together established names and emerging talents in one of the world's most iconic cities.
