Kazakhstani Students Flock to Hong Kong for Higher Education

Hong Kong has increasingly become the favored destination for Kazakhstani students pursuing higher education in Asia, as recent data reveals a significant surge in their enrollment at local public universities.

Among Central Asian nations, Kazakhstan stands out with the highest number of students studying in Hong Kong, showcasing the city’s growing reputation as a premier educational hub. Notably, City University (CityU) has attracted the largest proportion of these students, further solidifying its status in the region.

The council chairman of CityU remarked to the South China Morning Post that the influx of Kazakhstani students reflects the institution's appeal and the broader attractiveness of Hong Kong's educational offerings.
